Keeping The Faith

This week there will be no video, there will be no pictures.  You’ll just have to take our word for it that Ria and I gained weight.  We both gained around 2 pounds and, to be honest, I couldn’t stand to look at myself long enough to make a video.  The week before I didn’t eat right, but worked my butt off at the gym…still gained weight.  This week was VBS week and I volunteered at the church and didn’t get to the gym AT ALL, but I watched what I was eating much better….still gained.  It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out I’ll have to combine the exercising and eating right to make this thing work.  I will do that this week!

Yesterday, at my daughter’s birthday party (she’s 3!), for the first time in a very long time, maybe ever, I felt old.  I am just about a decade older than my wife and for some odd reason, felt a decade older than anyone at the party.  Not sure why…just felt down and a bunch less energetic than anyone there.  That’s some of the price I pay, I guess, when I’m surrounded by younger peeps.  Not only younger peeps, but peeps that are in the military and, thus, in pretty good shape.  I, somehow, don’t fit in :-).  Oh well, no pity party here.  That’s part of the reason I’m doing this thing….to be in shape with my surroundings.

I would just like to thank God for not only the green pastures I walk through, but for the deserts I must journey through also.  I know You will never leave me!

How did you all do this week?
